Hi everyone! Today, I’m excited to share all the ways you can bring visitors to your website. I have a special system that brings over 180,000 people to my website every month! That’s so many visitors that my site is ranked in the top 15,000 websites around the world. And guess what? We even started a different website for our accounting business, and it’s already getting 5,000 visits each month. The best part is that most of this traffic is totally free!
That’s why I want to share with you all the ways to get traffic to your website, both for free and by paying.
Alright, let’s jump right in and talk about how to get more visitors to your website! When we look at Google Analytics, we see that there are a few main places traffic comes from: social media, referral sites, paid searches, organic searches, emails, display ads, and direct traffic. If you can do really well in just one of these areas, you can get a lot of visitors!
For example, our accounting YouTube channel got over 89,000 views in just 28 days, which brought us lots of visitors, leads, and customers.
Now, let’s break down each of these traffic sources.
1. Social Media: The quickest way to get traffic from social media is by using paid ads. You can create an ad that targets specific people and send them straight to your website. For instance, we made some Facebook ads for a client that got 365 clicks, leading to 152 sales and over $15,000 in revenue! Once you start gaining followers, you can reduce the ads and let your posts attract visitors for free. Just remember, it’s important to create content that people want to see and share.
2. Referral Sites: These are websites that link to yours. For example, if a magazine mentions you and includes a link to your site, that’s referral traffic! You can get referral traffic from business directories, public forums, and guest blogs. Make sure you’re listed in places where people might find your business. Joining forums like Quora or Reddit to answer questions can also help direct traffic back to your site.
3. Organic Search: This is when people find your website through search engines like Google without clicking on ads. To do this, you need to make your site Google-friendly by following best practices. It may take some time, but it’s a great way to attract visitors for free!
4. Paid Search: If you want quicker results, you can pay for ads on search engines. These ads show up at the top of search results, so people see them right away. Just make sure to get certified in Google Ads to avoid wasting money!
5. Display Ads: These are ads you see on other websites. If someone visits your pricing page and then sees your ad on another site, it can remind them to come back.
6. Email Marketing: This is a super cost-effective way to keep people coming back. If you have an email list, you can send updates and promotions that bring visitors back to your site. Tools like Mailchimp make it easy to set up automated emails.
7. Direct Traffic: This happens when someone types your website’s address directly into their browser. It often means people are becoming more aware of your brand. For example, our website gets 22,000 direct visits each month, showing our brand is growing!
